Memories in 120 Film is a dance work which was presented in the form of an exhibition, it’s a collaboration between dance, film and photography. The concepts explored are memories, development of photos within a dark room and recording within this environment.The dance work follows the order of the process of photography development and at the same time follows the order of the actual dance sequence itself. The dance choreography represents memories from the past being brought back to life through the process of photo development. The dance work shows how looking back at images brings back a flood of memories and sometimes means it's difficult to live in the present moment. The male character who is developing the images within the darkroom, has an unknown identity within the dance work, who he is and his relationship is left down to the audiences interpretation.
